Animation 02. Acting Performance takes the previous class even further by introducing the concepts of pantomime and acting performance with focus on emotions. Students will learn how to make a character appear to think and make decisions. Also they’ll learn to stage their performance and to direct the audience’s attention.

Thic classs is divided into 4 modules:

  • Module 01. Body Language
  • Module 02. Facial Performance
  • Module 03. Dialogue Performance
  • Module 04. Acting Performance

Before you start

 

  • previous experience is need
  • must have completed our basic animation course or have a portfolio that shows you understand the fundamentals presented there.
  • you’ll need your own laptop

 

What you’ll learn

 

  • fundamentals of an entertaining performance
  • concepts and practical techniques with focus on pantomime
  • develop a fuller understanding of fundamental animation principles
  • animating a human character with focus on emotions
  • how to record and study your own acting reference
  • recognize the most common animation mistakes involving an appealing character

Schedule

 

  • 5 weekends (10 days)
  • every Saturday & Sunday (onsite, 8-10 hours / day)
  • weekly webcast (middle of week) – critique 1-2 hours, theory lectures
